1/20/10 — Membership Committee Meeting
The January Membership Committee meeting will take place Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Patrice Rogers. We will have a quick meeting, food and snacks, and then we will be phone banking our members in an effort to upgrade membership levels and bring more funds into the club. 1/26/10 — Drinking Liberally
January’s “Drinking Liberally” will take place Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at 5:30 p.m. at Hamburger Patties in Midtown. It’s a great time to come meet your fellow Stonewall Democrats and simply have a good time. Patties has a great bar and food too, so come join the fun!
2/8/10, 3/8/10, and 4/12/10 — Sacramento Stonewall Candidate Forum Series
Coming up in the following months, Sacramento Stonewall is sponsoring a series of forums on highlighted local races.
What: Stonewall Democrats Candidate Forum Series
When: 5:30pm* on February 8, March 8, and April 12
Where: Radisson Hotel, Sacramento
Why: Candidate Forums (debates) will provide Stonewall membership and allies the opportunity to become better informed about their choices for elected office.
*For the February, March, and April Meetings, Candidate Forums will take place from 5:30-7:00 and the General Membership Meeting will occur directly afterward. Procedures to endorse in the highlighted races will be taken up.

1/30/10 — Sacramento Comedy Spot Gay & Lesbian Night
The Sacramento Comedy Spot is hosting its first Gay and Lesbian Night on Saturday, January 30, at 8 p.m. The show will feature popular San Francisco comedians Janine Brito, Casey Ley, Natasha Muse, and Sacramento’s own Dann Mead. There’s also an official after party at Faces.

2/6/10 — Mike Whiteside Hosts Fundraiser for Judge Candidate Michael Nava
On February 6, 2010, Mike Whiteside is hosting a fundraiser for Michael Nava, who is running for Judge in San Francisco. He is a gay lawyer and author who was raised here in Sacramento. It’s that time of year again, when the LGBT community and our friends get together to celebrate and support our good friend, Senate President Pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg. We hope you will join us and other leaders of the LGBT community in supporting this important event to be held in Sacramento on Wednesday, February 10. Please pledge a sponsorship for this event. Meet new activists and get the tools and information you need for success. Join The California Democratic Party and co-sponsor California Young Democrats for Learn to Win 2010 Campaign Training. The training will take place February 27-28 in Citrus Heights, as well as on other upcoming dates in Stockton and Grass Valley. By 4/20/10 — County of Sacramento LGBT Caucus Scholarship
Spread the word to people who fit the following criteria:
1.) LGBT high school senior graduating in 2010.
2.) Sacramento County resident.
3.) Enrolling or expect to be enrolled in an accredited college, university, technical or trade school for fall 2010.
4.) Have a GPA of at least 2.5.
